Joes 1st Birthday

Hi all, well its been another busy week, and what is going on with this weather. One minute its sunny the next torrential rain!
So during the sunny bits I've been getting out in the garden and in the rainy bits I've been working on this cake for my friends little boy. Joseph will be one on Saturday, and will be enjoying his first birthday party!!  It doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was doing the same with Jack painting jungle leaves, making banners and fondant animals. He's none too pleased that this cake isn't for him! maybe I'll make him a mini version. I hope Joe enjoys his first slice of birthday party and a delicious slice of cake :)

Hearts and Houses

Its been sooo long since my last post, I've wanted to post before now but sometimes life just gets in the way! So this is just a quickie! First off my mom moved house, at last she's only been waiting months. And still when she finally moved in I hadn't got a card for her, so as usual at the last minute I made her one. This stamp was perfect and Free with a magazine so I like it even more :)
Later in the week I was gonna make something for the little fella, but when I came to find my drill I found that someone has only gone a nicked it from our shed!! and the drill bits too!!. I'm just thankful that's all they took as Jacks bike was in there and had they have taken that it would have really hurt. So hey ho that project will have to wait a few days until I can buy or borrow a new drill.
So I amused myself with making this heart garland, isn't it pretty?? and best of all it's made from paint chips, you know those sample paints strips you find in diy stores. I can't believe how good they look and best of all there totally free. You might get a few odd looks as your stuffing so many in your bag though! These would look great as valentine decorations or even at a wedding. I like them so much I'm toying with making some flower ones for the summer, if we ever get one!
